Dear friends,
In June 2010, I had the pleasure of spending two weeks in this AMAZING Villa....within 24 hours of my arrival, I rebooked three additional weeks for 2011.
Having recently returned from holding two retreats at Grotta dei Fichi, I can say - without hesitation - that this has been an experience of a lifetime for myself and the retreat participants. Here is what they had to say:
"Best vacation I ever had, plus yoga! Yoga tailored to my intermediate level, plus the Amalfi coast!"....Rosemary S.
"Participation in the Yoga Retreat led by Karen Rosand was truly the trip of a lifetime for me. La Grotta dei Fichi was extraordinary - a gentle Eden on a stark cliff above the Mediterranean Sea ("bring sturdy walking shoes"). Karen led us in daily Yoga and, with unflappable charm, led us to see and love this wondrous part of the world." Namaste. ~M. Kelly
My week at La Grotta Dei Fichi was an amazing experience. The beauty of the Villa was transporting and the meals made from the hand picked veggies were delicious, but the highlight of my trip was shopping with Karen. What fun! Terry S.
Your yoga retreat to Piano di Sorrento in Juy 2011 was one of the most enjoyable experiences of my life! The villa, fabulous morning yoga, seeing & experiencing (sites, sounds, tastes, etc.) southern Italy, and your hospitality were exceptional. When I'm asked what was the best part of the the trip, I beam and say 'everything'. Thank you, again, for a wonderful time. Love & Namaste. Kim

The Villa (La Grotta dei Fichi) is located merely 15 minutes away from the many shops, restaurants and cafes of Sorrento. You will relax in a peaceful atmosphere high up the cliffs overlooking the Tyrannean Sea, amid colorful succulents, gardens and spectacular views of the coastline and Li Galli islands (once home to Rudolph Nuryev).
The Villa sleeps a total of 10 people for a private, intimate atmosphere. The property includes a private pool area with whirlpool, a sauna, a workout room, two outdoor brick ovens for al fresco dining, a bar/cafe area, multiple areas for meditation or relaxing privately and more.
Our hosts, the Trapani family, provide fresh produce from their gardens, including the famous Sorrento lemons grown from their trees on the property.
This is not a typical vacation in Italy - it is a deep immersion in the culture and family life of the Trapani family, a mouth-watering indulgence in local foods and an opportunity to experience the warmth and hospitality of the people of the Amalfi Coast.
Don't miss this retreat in 2013... you won't regret it...!
Karen
